This page offers a variety of third-grade worksheets for practicing multiplication and division as well as learning about fractions.
Multiplication takes the front row in computation skills this year. Flash cards are a welcome tool to help your third grader master his or her multiplication facts. By the end of this year students will have memorized the products of all 1-digit numbers.
Working with fractions also takes a lead in math with third graders. Students will understand halves, fourths, thirds, fifths, etc. and will compare fractions with common denominators and common numerators.
Allowing your child to divide a pie, pizza, or bag of apples, or letting him or her compute how many cookies are needed to feed ten people if each person gets two cookies is of great benefit in solidifying understanding of fractions, multiplication, and division.
